Communicate Your Ideas

One of the phenomena that has manifested in a rather extreme manner over the past 10 years or so is the breakdown in meaningful communication. We have witnessed an increasing rigidity of partisan viewpoints where real connections have been lost. Whether we look at the liberal/conservative impasse in politics or the confrontations between religions, no real understanding is being achieved. People are talking at each other, not with each other, and no one is listening. Even as more sophisticated communication technology is developed, there is a deeper, more fundamental breakdown.

The Sun enters Gemini on May 20 and the keyword for this sign of the zodiac is “I Think.” Now is the time of year that is especially devoted to thinking and identifying those thoughts and ideas that are worthy of communication and action. Ideas are meant to be put into action in order to manifest them in concrete form. Mental stimulation is important. True conversation and communication are necessary in order to make wise decisions.

It is an important part of this process to create a shared vision that we can move together with to manifest. For example, the founders of our country, through earnest discussion, created the framework for this country. The primary idea that motivated them and that has taken form is freedom. This was a very radical idea in their time, but it has now become the accepted standard of the world.

In Truckee, as in the rest of the country and the world, there needs to be discussion and communication of ideas about our future. This newspaper, and other community forums for the discussion of ideas, are vital to the well-being of our community. As times and situations change, established ideas can be challenged if they don’t seem to be achieving the needed results. New ideas and approaches need to be explored.

True discussion and exchange of ideas should take place. Everything is evolving and growing. For example, perhaps the idea of Truckee becoming the “Aspen of the Sierras” is not the correct picture for our future. Maybe Truckee and Tahoe’s economy should be intentionally diversified beyond our primary reliance on tourism. Now is the time that supports meaningful discussion and the exchange of ideas.

On a more personal level, Gemini stimulates mental creativity and its communication. If there are thoughts that have been on your mind that you have not expressed, now is the time for you to speak out. Thinking is the basis of action, so ideas that you have been pondering are now poised to be put into action. Try to overcome any procrastination and distraction and start manifesting your ideas. Remember that at the foundation of your life are ideas that want to be lived and evolve into perfected expression. All life in the cosmos is the expression of cosmic ideas that manifest as human ideals.

Aries (March 21-April 19): This month the emphasis is on dynamic action. Self-improvement and development is the primary focus with benefits in the area of career and profession. There is potentially a leadership role awaiting you if you play your cards right. Your usual brashness wants to be modified by a more diplomatic, soulful approach. Socializing, friends, and group activities are also positively highlighted. Be sure to have some fun.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): There are financial opportunities for you this month. You will have to be more assertive in order to take maximum advantage of situations that are presented to you. Original, creative ideas play a key role in your potential success. The law of attraction is a strong force working for you now. But you will also have to deal with some significant inhibiting influences that can nullify your success if you allow them to dominate. You will be tested by fear, confusion, distraction, and emotional conflict. Stay motivated and focused and you will come though it all successfully.

Gemini (May 21-June 21): This month there are two themes being stimulated, which is not unusual for Gemini. On the one hand, socializing with groups and friends as well as involvement in community activities is supported. Speak your mind and share your thoughts with others. This is your time to shine. On the other hand, there is a need to turn within to open up and receive from spirit. There is a very expansive, uplifting message that wants to be revealed to you. Spend some time in meditation and inner reflection. Don’t be surprised if your philosophy of life or world view changes as a result of this inner experience.

Cancer (June 22-July 22): The Moon is especially powerful this month. It is high tide for feelings and emotions that have a deep, devotional quality to them. Exploring new territory and recreation are also highlighted. Lighten up and have some fun. Dynamic self-expression is positively supported. Try not to be overwhelmed by financial issues or a sense of personal insecurity. You need to master these emotions. There can be some negative, emotionally charged situations that arise with friends and social situations. Keep your balance, put a brave face on things, and move ahead.

Leo (July 23-August 22): The focus this month is to get your financial house in order. There is support for you to make some significant positive strides in increasing your cash flow. Think long term. Financial planning that can fulfill your present and future needs is supported. Be original and creative in your thinking. Old patterns won’t give you the support you need. Dynamic action will overcome the tendency for distraction and procrastination.

Virgo (August 23-September 22): You are overflowing with ideas this month that need to be communicated and shared with others. Your mind may be somewhat changeable, but there is an element of genius that wants to break through into your awareness. Spirituality and opportunities for expansion of consciousness will draw you into a more inner, reflective mood. But don’t forget to express your innate practical nature. There is support for concrete application of your ideas, especially in your work. Money concerns are present, but you can deal successfully with these issues through creative thinking.

Libra (September 23-October 23): The themes for this month are balancing home and family with an active social life. It is a good time to have friends over for a dinner party or to host a social event. There is support for affairs of the heart. It would be wise to delay home improvements that would put a dent in your finances. But projects to beautify your home and make it more comfortable are supported if you keep costs in line.

Scorpio (October 24-November 21): There is an opportunity for you to make your mark at work this month. The drive to grow and evolve your business and professional skills is emphasized. Organization and self-discipline at work can result in financial rewards. Personal growth and the unfoldment of your hidden potential, even outside of work, can also be rewarded now. Play and recreation are also highlighted. Get out into nature, especially activities connected with water. This will open up your heart and provide you with an important revelation. Nature can be the mirror for your soul at this time.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21): This month there is a strong feeling of optimism and self-confidence. The future looks bright. Love and money are highlighted, but the major focus of expression is relationship. Doing things with your partner, like socializing and having fun, can be fulfilling. Stimulate your wisdom through workshops, seminars, reading and foreign travel. A newfound sense of expansion and freedom wants to be expressed. It is an exceptionally good month for you.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19): This month you may feel the heaviness of responsibility. There is a tendency to feel like a victim, but any feelings of this kind are all of your own making. Relationship and money issues may come to a head and require attention. You have the inner strength and drive to deal with everything successfully, even though your sense of happiness and fulfillment is at a low ebb.  Stay focused and use your intelligence to get through as you will feel pulled in multiple, conflicted directions. Hang in there. Circumstances will improve.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18): It is necessary for you to look at the future. It is time to revise your vision of what is coming and adjust your plans. Look deep within your soul and identify those fear-based patterns that have a tendency to hold you back. You need to let go of these self-limiting habits now. It is time to spread your wings and see how high you can fly. Faith and trust in your higher potential is important now.

Pisces (February 19-March 20): Things are looking up for your career and your relationship. There are real opportunities to improve your financial situation that are presented to you. Be sure to take advantage of them. A very expansive, optimistic mood dominates now. There is a strong sense of idealism that has the desire to express in humanitarian activities. To the degree that you are able to integrate you idealism into your work, the more fulfilled you will be. Involvement in group activities dedicated to creating a sense of community is supported.
